Alpine, oil on wood panel, Weir Family Home, London, Ontario. 2016
This painting was developed with the home owners specific desires to address a 17 foot high wall along their staircase. Over the span of a year I shared my artistic process closely with the family. We exchanged ideas and a vision for the space. I completed several conceptual study paintings as well as devised various compositions using multi-panel designs. I sought out their vision and combined it with some experimentation and presented different painting styles. This culminated into the final version, a colourful, bold and dramatic 10 panel work that has activated their front entrance to their home.

Commision is process
Site specific commissions are a dynamic way to create an original artwork, taking into consideration every possible detail of the specific site. This kind of commission will add uniqueness and impact. To produce this kind of commission, I work with my clients extensively to develop a vision for an artwork specifically for their space.
